OUR HISTORY-OUR ORIGINS

Eureka was officially set up in 1986 by two young entrepreneurs who decided to focus their industrial activity on the manufacturing of a complete range of cleaning machines. This concept soon led Eureka to become a specialist in a market continuously asking for innovative products.

The first prototypes were based on a small sweeper, later named model 500, which had to offer something revolutionary to fulfil Eureka's aim for innovation: the unique automatic filter-shaker system ( patented ).
This exclusive innovation was only the first of a long line in unique ideas which were generated and then implemented in the machines.

On one side for the benefit of a growing number of domestic and international distributors and on the other side to fully satisfy the market's constant demand for reliable , high value-for-money products.

1986

Introduction of model 500

"...At that time we only had a very small manufactory lab in Fontaniva, and only 2 employees. Our very first sweeper was called model 500. Renato Scremin used to design and manufacture the machines, and I was going around to try and sell them..." G. Lago (Eureka co-founder )

1988

Introduction of model 700 S/E

"...Surprisingly, our sales grew quite rapidly, and in 1988 we moved to a larger factory, in S.Giorgio in Bosco. That move already represented something exceptional to us. The factory was much bigger, more modern, and we could count on more labour support than those supplied by Renato Scremin. At the end of that year we launched our model 700, probably the strongest walk-behind sweeper ever manufactured..." R. SCREMIN ( Eureka co-founder)

1991

Rider 1200 the first ride-on-sweeper

"...and next came the Rider 1200, in 1991. It was an ambituos project, since it was our first ride-on sweeper. The Rider was followed by the MACH 3, in 1995. 1992

New Factory

Thanks to the increasing business turnover Eureka moved to a huger factory establishment in Cittadella PD.

1995

Compact 1150 non-stop innovation

The Compact 1150 affortable price gave to small businesses, with limited budgets, the opportunity to acquire the efficiency of a high-quality ride-on machine.

1997

Factory expansion

1998

Introduction of Magnum

Certainly, I remember with pleasure the introduction of the Magnum in 1998, which has contributed to add technical status and international fame. I also remember with a touch of sadness the discontinued production of the 500, in 2001. 2005

Innovation Award at Verona Pulire International Exposition

Picobello 151 recieved the "innovation award" at Verona Pulire International Exposition which is the European cleaning facilities most imnportant event. Picobello 151 is the unique manual sweeper integrated by a patented vacuum system completely free from batteries, engines or cable.

Eureka designed the exclusive ECOsystem® to guarantee impressive labour, water, detergent savings, and boasts the productivity rate 3 times greater than traditional systems.

2013

Two more Innovation Awards for Picobello 151!

Birmingham, at Cleaning Show Picobello 151 and in Australia at INCLEAN Trade Fair Competition. Two more recognitions for the Eureka dust-proof manual sweeper.

2015

Eureka S.p.A.

Eureka became officialy Eureka S.p.A.
