Walk-behind sweepers

WHEN TO CHOOSE AND WHY PREFER AN EUREKA WALK-BEHIND SWEEPER?

What exactly is a walk-behind sweeper?
Walk-behind sweepers are particularly manoeuvrable and easy-to-operate floor cleaning machines. They are driven by an operator who walks behind the machine (hence the name). The operator controls the functions of the machine (whether powered or pushed) and uses their arms to move the handle and steer it.

Walk-behind sweepers are compact and light in weight and can therefore be operated safely and effortlessly by everyone. Forward speed is never higher than average walking speed. Actual speed is determined by the force applied by the operator in the case of fully mechanical sweepers or is controlled by means of a traction control lever in the case of automatic machines.

Their manoeuvrability and ease of control make these sweepers the best possible choice for cleaning small, medium and congested spaces.

Eureka walk-behind sweepers

The Eureka walk-behind sweeper range includes the fully mechanical Picobello push sweeper, which is available in two versions, with or without the patented Ecovac® filter system, and the Kobra walk-behind sweeper, which comes either with a battery-powered traction system or with a Honda internal combustion engine.

Walk-behind sweepers are economical, easy to use and simple to maintain. Walk-behind sweepers are also easy to manoeuvre in tight spaces. They are usually recommended for cleaning areas of up to 4,000-5,000 square metres.

Unique features

Visibility, Safety, and Ease of Use

A walk-behind sweeper offers simplicity in use and maintenance, as it consists of fewer components compared to ride-on models. The operator guides the machine while keeping their feet on the ground. This walking pace ensures maximum visibility and safe control of the equipment.

Agility and Minimal Turning Radius

It has compact dimensions and great maneuverability, with a minimal turning radius. Therefore, it is the ideal choice in environments with numerous obstacles or narrow passages.

Great Efficiency with Minimal Effort

Equipped with a motor for traction, brush activation, and suction/filtration, it ensures high cleaning effectiveness, even in very dirty environments, with minimal effort required from the operator.
