40 years of Eureka
It was April 15, 1986, when Gianfranco Lago and Renato Scremin officially founded Eureka, with a vision: to design and manufacture high-quality industrial floor cleaning machines.
The company started with sweepers and later expanded into scrubber dryers, all fully designed and manufactured in-house. This approach ensured complete freedom in product development, allowing Eureka to introduce innovations the market was already calling for, but that competitors were still slow to recognize.
Lago and Scremin first met during their previous experience as door-to-door sales reps for industrial vacuum cleaners. This background taught them how to truly listen to the market and understand the everyday needs of business owners and cleaning professionals. Their hands-on experience enabled them to quickly develop distinctive features and patents that would later become key to Eureka’s success.
When they launched their own manufacturing business, they quickly moved from developing their first prototypes in a family barn to establishing a modern, well-structured production facility with the capacity to meet growing demand.
Today, Eureka employs over 160 people, operates a production facility spanning more than 22,000 square meters, generates annual revenues exceeding €22 million, and is supported by a network of qualified distributors in over 90 countries worldwide.
Forty years of continuous growth confirm the strength of the founders’ original vision and the solid foundations of an industrial model built on product innovation, reliability, and customer service.
To mark its 40th anniversary, Eureka will launch a series of initiatives throughout the year, starting with the introduction of a commemorative logo across all major communication materials and on all machines produced in 2026.
