Overhead guards, windscreens and complete operator cabins

Quick and efficient sweeping operations can, depending on the application, expose operators and equipment to certain safety hazards.

The main risks are attributable to:

  • Large quantities of dust
  • Particularly demanding applications

To effectively control dust, it’s essential to use a floor sweeper with an efficient vacuum filtration system, such as the Multipocket® filter developed by Eureka.

As for the safety of industrial sweepers, even in the most difficult applications, the issue is often the ability of the machine to withstand different types of stress and provide an ergonomic solution for the operator. Temperature changes, accidental impact due to the co-presence of equipment, physical structures or systems, are the main challenges that a professional sweeper needs to overcome. Finally, to be truly defined as safe, a sweeper should be designed paying particular attention to the operator, to their comfort and to ease of use. This means that an operator should be able to use a sweeper for long periods of time without creating excessive physical fatigue that reduces the concentration being paid to the work being carried out.

Eureka’s industrial floor sweepers stand out thanks to the full attention given to these areas, which includes the availability of machines with overhead guards or closed operator cabins. And if up until yesterday this optional was a distinctive feature only of the larger machines, today steel overhead guards are available for Eureka ride-on sweeper entire range.

A ride on floor sweeper that is equipped with an overhead guard is particularly appreciated in external applications, or internal applications which have vertical storage systems.

Eureka’s overhead guards have a robust steel structure which guarantees mechanical resistance and provides a high degree of protection to the operator.

When large quantities of air-borne dust or adverse weather conditions call for added protection, the Magnum and BULL 200 sweepers are available with a cabin, which in addition to a steel roof has transparent panels at 360°. The cabin version of the BULL 200 is pressurized and the internal air intake is filtered, preventing dust from entering the cabin. The BULL 200 is also equipped with an air conditioning system, which provides comfort in all weather conditions.

Here below you will find details of the models available with the overhead guard or cabin.
